Lady Hemp presents
On Wednesday 15 May, Lady Hemp’s presentation will again be combined with a dinner. The location is the atmospheric space of Arta la Tarta in Rotterdam at Schietbaanstraat 85b. This presentation will focus on the eleven hemp stories from the second series of greeting cards.

Dinner
This time, Lady Hemp will cook a tropical meal for 15 guests with the flavour of hemp seeds in the dish. The originally Surinamese creole dish, named moksalesie, literally means mixed rice. The special feature is that the rice is cooked in the sauce and takes the flavour of all the ingredients with it. The dessert of ice cream with melon, banana, hemp seeds and dried fruit complements the tropical atmosphere of the main dish.

Presentation
The presentation starts at 20:00. One more guest will join us. The story cards are passed around while Lady Hemp tells her story. In between, questions will be answered. Many stories illustrate the versatility and long history of 12,000 years, that hemp has with humanity.

Cannabis criminalisation
The question often comes up as to why we don’t just use this plant again instead of the many polluting raw materials and production methods. The answer goes back to the late 1800s, when the cannabis plant had a serious competitive position in the industrial revolution. The petro-chemical and paper industries put a stop to that with a lie. As a result, this wonder plant was classified one of the most dangerous drugs.

Though we now know the truth, America’s federal laws have not been amended. And as a result, cannabis and fibre hemp is only limited used under conditions, as a sustainable and eco-friendly solution to the polluting and destructive industry.

Of course, nature has many more plants with special qualities. But hemp, which matures almost everywhere in three months, without pesticides, cleaning and nourishing the air and soil, proves every time to be the best. As resource, it can be used as a raw material for more than 50,000 products.

Change
Awareness of the impact of the solutions, which hemp offers for the environment remains important.  A multitude of people can change the destructive system for Mother Earth to a healing and constructive nature-friendly one.

Lady Hemp presenteert
Op woensdag 15 mei is er weer de presentatie van Lady Hemp in combinatie met een diner. De locatie is de sfeervolle ruimte van Arta la Tarta in Rotterdam aan de Schietbaanstraat 85b. In deze presentatie staan de elf hennep verhalen uit de tweede serie wenskaarten centraal.

Diner
Lady Hemp kookt dit keer voor  vijftien gasten een tropische maaltijd met de smaak van hennepzaden in het gerecht. Het van oorsprong Surinaamse creoolse gerecht, met de naam moksalesie, betekent letterlijk gemengde rijst. Het bijzondere is dat de rijst in de saus wordt gekookt en de smaak van alle ingrediënten mee krijgt. Het dessert van ijs met meloen, banaan, hennepzaad en gedroogd fruit sluit aan bij de tropische sfeer van het hoofdgerecht.

Presentatie
De presentatie begint om 20.00 uur. Er schuift nog een gast aan. De verhaalkaarten kunnen worden rondgedeeld, terwijl Lady Hemp haar verhaal vertelt. Tussendoor worden er vragen beantwoord. Vele verhalen illustreren de veelzijdigheid en lange geschiedenis van 12.000 jaar, die hennep met de mensheid heeft.

Cannabis criminalisering
Vaak komt de vraag waarom we niet gewoon weer deze plant inzetten in plaats van de vele vervuilende grondstoffen en productiemethoden. Het antwoord daarop gaat terug naar eind 1800, toen de cannabisplant een serieuse concurrentie positie had in de industriële revolutie. De petrochemische en papierindustrie maakten daar met een leugen een einde aan. Als gevolg daarvan is deze wonderplant geclassificeerd als een van de gevaarlijkste drugs.

Hoewel we nu de waarheid kennen, zijn de federale wetten van Amerika niet aangepast. En als gevolg daarvan worden cannabis en vezelhennep onder voorwaarden, slechts beperkt gebruikt als duurzame en milieuvriendelijke oplossing voor de vervuilende en destructieve industrie.

Natuurlijk heeft de natuur veel meer planten met bijzondere kwaliteiten. Maar  hennep, die bijna overal in drie maanden volgroeid is, zonder pesticiden, de lucht en bodem reinigd en voedt, blijkt telkens weer de beste te zijn. Daarbij kan hennep als grondstof voor meer dan 50.000 producten worden gebruikt.

Verandering
Bewustwording van de impact van de oplossingen, die hennep voor het milieu biedt blijft super belangrijk. Een veelheid aan mensen kunnen het destructieve systeem voor moeder aarde veranderen naar een helend en constructief natuurlijkvriendelijk systeem.
