‘Suikerzoet’ or Sugarsweet is the name for for days film festival in Schiedam in the Netherlands. Visitors are treated to a large diversity of recent feature films, from drama to comedy. Special about it is that  the films are shown in different locations. You sit together with people in a gallery watching the latest film by Omar Sy or watching a film in the church.

I saw the film ‘Loving Vincent’ today and as an illustrator it moved me an d inspired me. The way of painted filming is rhythmic. The dramatic story of Vincent pictures his last weeks before he dies.
What is exceptional is that Vincent painted 800 paintings in 8 years. Sadly enough his work was not valued and sold, so he could not live from his paintings.
