In the Netherlands, there are drum circles in Castricum and Scheveningen, among other places. It begins at 11:15 a.m. The opening ceremony is already over. when I arrive three quarters of an hour later. The drums can be heard from the pier. At the beach exit of the Black Path, more than 200 people are standing and sitting and drumming.
The sky is clear blue with white clouds. where the sun occasionally shines through. It is nice and warm but the wind keeps it chilly.
People in the center of the circle are drumming briskly, sometimes in a kind of trance. On the outside, a mixed crowd stands or sits. There are older people, drumming sitting down. Children play by rugs or learn to beat a small drum. Everyone is welcome.

Shamanic drum
A shamanic drum is a very powerful and sacred primal instrument that everyone can play and connects us to our own heartbeat rhythm and that of Mother Earth, which helps us to ground in our body. The sound of the drum is a primal language that directs us deeply and takes us on a journey. The drum is made with special materials such as animal skin and a special chosen tree or a tree struck by lightning for example.
Our main mission is to connect people around the globe with each other to come together in the synchronized energy of ceremony that we share on our event days. On these days we make music with our (shamanic) drums to support the collective by creating a powerful field of purifying and uplifting energy to make strong energetic changes for a higher consciousness.

Zondag 7 april zijn er drumcirkels op 560 verschillende plaatsen op Moeder Aarde wereldwijd om mensen over de hele wereld met elkaar te verbinden, samenkomend in de gesynchroniseerde energie van de ceremonie.
In Nederland zijn er drumcirkels in onder andere Castricum en Scheveningen. Het begint om 11.15 uur. De openingsceremonie is al voorbij als ik drie kwartier later aankom. De trommels zijn te horen vanaf de pier. Bij de strandafgang van het Zwarte Pad staan en zitten meer dan 200 mensen te trommelen.
De lucht is strakblauw met witte wolken. waar af en toe de zon doorheen schijnt. Het is lekker warm maar de wind houdt het fris.
Mensen in het midden van de cirkel drummen stevig door, soms in een soort trance. Aan de buitenkant staat of zit een gemengde menigte. Er zijn oudere mensen die zittend drummen. Kinderen spelen op kleedjes of leren op een kleine trommel te slaan. Iedereen is welkom.

Sjamanendrum
Een sjamanendrum is een zeer krachtig en heilig oerinstrument dat iedereen kan bespelen en ons verbindt met ons eigen hartslagritme en dat van Moeder Aarde, wat ons helpt te aarden in ons lichaam. Het geluid van de drum is een oertaal die ons diep stuurt en ons meeneemt op reis. De trommel wordt gemaakt met speciale materialen zoals dierenhuiden en een speciaal gekozen boom of een boom die bijvoorbeeld door de bliksem is getroffen.
Missie
Onze belangrijkste missie is om mensen over de hele wereld met elkaar te verbinden om samen te komen in de gesynchroniseerde energie van de ceremonie die we delen op onze evenementendagen. Op deze dagen maken we muziek met onze (sjamanistische) drums om het collectief te ondersteunen door het creëren van een krachtig veld van zuiverende en verheffende energie om sterke energetische veranderingen te maken voor een hoger bewustzijn.
